I have wanted to photograph this helical staircase at the Art Institute of Chicago for years. Either I went to the museum and never made it to where the staircase is, or I haven't been down to the Art Museum in forever.
A photographer friend was in town. He and two other photographers and I met at the museum. My one request was to find and photograph this staircase.
We had a great time wandering around, talking about photography and art.
I will be going back to sit and spend some time with this staircase and my camera.
Prints available in my shop.
Such cool, elegant and sophisticated images. Excellent work Lauri.
Thanks so much, Tony. It's such a beautiful space.
